Do you have trouble handling stress? Your stress interfering with your sleep and daily life? Do you sometimes (or often) feel anxious? If so, this is the supplement review for you! In a world that pushes you to work harder, pushes you to your full effort ability, then demands even more effort out of you, stress can become overwhelming. Between bills, kids, judgement, relationships, families, and so much more to worry about, stress can overwhelm our lives. In my pursuit of handling my own stress, I decided to venture into supplementation. After many months of trial and error, I found one product that stood above the rest! In this article I will be reviewing the GNC Clinical Strength KSM-66 Ashwaghanda.
What does Ashwaghanda do?
Ashwaghanda is an adaptogenic herb. In summary, Ashwaghanda is used to keep the body in balance. When you are stressed, your body becomes out of balance. Cortisol spikes, your testosterone decreases, and your energy plummits. Ashwaghanda has been shown to significantly reduce anxiety/stress/depression, reduce cortisol, increase power output, lower cholesterol, lower blood glucose, and so much more!
How I got into Using Ashwaghanda
For quite some time I was using agmatine as a source of lowering my blood pressure when my anxiety would spike. After months of using agmatine, I soon realize it was helping reduce the blood pressure issue, but was not helping to reduce my stress. During my time as an assistant manager of a GNC store, I was recommended to look into Ashwaghanda by my manager. As someone who loves to perform trial and error on my own (without just going by what the internet forums said), I decided to to give it a try myself. A full bottle is no more than 12 to 14 dollars, so I felt like it was well worth the risk of getting a bottle. Best case scenario is I would love the product. Worst case scenario, I wasted less than 20 bucks. Needless to say, it was well worth the purchase and three bottles later I still take the product everyday.
How Do I Use It?
During times of high stress I will take one capsule when needed (1-2 capsules is all you need and I do not recommend taking more). I will also take one capsule before bed as my replacement for melatonin. Yes, you heard me! I use Ashwaghanda instead of melatonin. In my pursuit for curing my insomnia I started to use melatonin as a crutch and would consume melatonin tablets religiously each night. After looking into it's supplementation, I knew this was not beneficial for my health (may even be consequencial long term). So since I was wanting to kick my melatonin usage, I decided to give Ashwaghanda a try as an alternative. To my surprise it worked GREAT! I was able to relax, sleep, and wake up feeling energized. Not only can you use it to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, but you can also use it to help with sleep.
Where Can I get Ashwaghanda?
KSM-66 Clinical Strength Ashwaghanda can be purchased at your local GNC for 12 to 14 dollars per bottle (60 capsules). You can also get KSM-66 Ashwaghanda on Amazon.com for similar pricing (excluding shipping).
Ashwaghanda has many benefits, but is used mostly for stress and anxiety relief. I continue to use the product during times of high stress and before bed. This is a product I would personally recommend to those looking to improve their quality of life. If you are going to get Ashwaghanda, make sure it is the KSM-66 clinical strength (I have felt better results from it). Give Ashwaghanda a try and let me know how you like it in the comments!
