Our Biggest Flaw
Whether you are born black, white, blue, green, tall, short, skinny, or overweight...we all have flaws. We as people tend to think of all flaws as physical. Maybe we have some acne on our face, or our nose seems too big, maybe even our teeth are not perfectly alligned. Flaws can get the most of us and can drag us down physically, emotionally/mentally, and spiritually. What if I told you our biggest flaw cannot be seen? The most common flaw in the world cannot be seen and has the biggest affect on countless lives, causing abuse, divorce, adultery, and even death. How can one flaw be so common, ruin so many lives, yet still continue to grow in victims? The answer lies within our desire to always stay the same.
Catalyst Of Growth & Improvement
We tend to stick to things that seem familiar, comfortable, and known. It has became more and more difficult to try and get people to try something new. In a world full of hatred, confusion, and risk, who would blame them? The only problem with staying the same is preventing growth and improvement. We cannot have that betterment without change. Change is the catalyst for the betterment we seek and desire. When we deny change, we deny the opportunity to grow, to improve ourselves, and to improve our perception of life.
"Nothing Will Change Unless You Do"
Life is half action and half reaction. Actions placed on us give us the opportunities, but the reactions are what facilitate change in our lives. Most of us have heard "insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome". Insanity would be the best way to describe our biggest flaw. WE ARE ALL INSANE. We repeat over and over the same things expecting bigger and better results. How do we get different results? By doing something different, whether it be doing the process better, adding components to the process, or doing something entirely different. Nothing will change unless you do. Life will always act upon us, but it's the actions we use against it that really matter.
What Can We Do?
In order to correct this most common and lethal flaw, we must correct our reactions to fix our outcome. When life starts getting rough, turn to better sources of stress relief. When wanting to improve your looks, focus on your diet and activity level rather than a magical pill (that does not exist). When in depressed, focus on the good things in life. When we are angry, focus on using it as fuel towards success rather than releasing it as negative actions. Next time their is something wrong in this world stop complaining and start fixing the problem.
When we change our reactions to a problem, we change the actions exhibited.
When we change our actions, we change our outcome.
