If you haven't noticed by now, I like to specialize in reducing anxiety. Coming from someone who couldn't even order my own food, talk to people over the phone, or ride in a car comfortably to now being an assistant manager/sales associate.......I would say that I have learned how to overcome my own mental barriers (anxiety and depression). Given that knowledge from experience can be somewhat individualized (does not work for everyone), I thought I would write an article discussing proven supplements that help treat anxiety and depression. Also, given the fact that I was prescribed and had used Tegretol XR for years during my diagnosis of epilepsy (used to prevent seizures and also used for disorders such as bipolar-disorder), I believe that prescribed medications are not the "end-all" solution to mental disorders/conditions. Ah yes....the side kick to the stress relief "dream team" (ashwaghanda and rhodiola). Much like ashwaghanda, rhodiola reduces cortisol and improves mood. Studies have shown that rhodiola extract was shown to lower cortisol, decrease fatigue, and improve performance/concentration. Unlike ashwaghanda's sedative effects, rhodiola has been considered more of an energy supporting supplement. When combined with ashwaghanda, the combination is mostly used for "focused energy", which is useful for increasing energy output and efficiency (concentration).

Studies show that arginine can reduce blood pressure (both systolic and diastolic). Blood pressure increases as a result of anxiety (though can increase from various others reasons).
