Anxiety And Stress
Anxiety and stress can consume our life in a fast paced and stress driven world. Deadlines are pushed, relationships get complicated, finances become an issue, and judgement is too present. We sometimes feel as if we are so stressed and anxious about the future that we cannot focus on the present that is at hand. When this stress and anxiety consumes us we turn to anything that will help us. If you are anything like me, you do not want to be taking addictive medications with harmful side effects. Before I overcame my social anxiety (which you can read about how I overcame my social anxiety and how you can too HERE ) I was looking for the most natural and least harmful (both in regards to effects and becoming an addiction).
"Easy Calm" Product Review
Though I was not able to try this product during the years of my social anxiety, I have had the opportunity to use this product while working a high stress-level job (while balancing school, work, work outs, content writing, a relationship, etc). This article is based on my own experience and opinion which followed my trial of the Taylor MD Formulations "Easy Calm" for a free product review.
In this article I will be covering the ingredients in the product, pricing of the product, and when I had the most benefit using the product.
I personally loved the product. I would not have tried and reviewed the product if I didn't believe in the ingredients in the product. I found that the product kept me calm, but more focused (not really drowsy) which I truly loved. As someone who is already cutting his sleep down to make more time to get more done during the day and haven quit caffeine, the last thing I would need is a product that makes me tired all day. I used this product twice a day (as recommended on the product). I took one serving mid shift at work and one serving close to bedtime. I found that the mid shift dose really helped with my reaction towards impatient, rude, and contradicting customers. I was able to handle situations more clear and focused with less of a reaction. The before bed dose helped me relax and clear my mind. This helped me keep still, as I have always had a problem with staying still my entire life (I feel like I always need to be moving). Since I could not distinguish the exact dosage of each ingredient, I believe the ingredient selection and combination is what made this product as good as it was.
Magnesium (10.5mg): Though magnesium is not at a high dosage in this supplement, magnesium alone is proven to help with lowering blood pressure and is used to help treat anxiety, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), lyme disease, and much more. Magnesium is a benefitial nutrient for the body, while countless people are actually deficient in it. With adding magnesium to an anxiety reducing supplement, you are not just helping reduce anxiety, but adding other benefits magnesium facilitates (nerve pain, asthma, constipation, irregular heartbeat, and much more).
Proprietary Blend (429mg): Since there are various ingredients at unknown dosages in this product, I will be describing the ingredients I feel made this product as effective as it was.
Taurine: Taurine is a sulfur-containing amino acid important in the metabolism of fats. It is used in many supplement blends and is a very complimentary ingredient. Taurine is used for improving liver function, improving heart function, improving blood pressure (more evidence is needed for other benefits).
L-Glycine: L-glycine is a non-essential amino acid that can benefit the body greatly. Glycine is used for treating schizophrenia, treating leg ulcers, and treating ischemic strokes.
L-Theanine: Theanine is an amino acid found in green tea and is the money-maker of the product. I have used L-Theanine alone with great success and I believe adding it into a mix of already great ingredients takes this product to another level. L-Theanine is used to help treat anxiety, preventing dementia, treating high blood pressure, and increasing the effect of cancer treatment drugs.
GABA: GABA itself is a chemical in the brain and can be taken in supplement form. GABA alongside L-Theanine makes for a deadly duo when it comes to battling anxiety and stress. GABA has been shown to reduce blood pressure and decrease motion sickness.
Bioperine: Bioperine consists of black pepper extract and is used as an "ingredient effect enhancer". Bioperine is used in countless products that range from testosterone boosters, fat burners, and anxiety supplements.
Digestive Enzyme Complex (75mg): We will not get too into the digestive enzyme complex due to this article being more about the anxiety reducing ingredients. Though the dosage is not very high, adding a digestive enzyme complex can aid in the digestion of the proprietary blend ingredients. Improved digestion can result in improved effects.
Taylor MD Formulations "Easy Calm" is currently priced at $39.95 and can be bought online (which could mean the cost of shipping). Is the product worth the benefits? I absolutely believe so. Having already overcame my social anxiety, this product did relieve stress but would not be worth me buying. For someone who had not overcame their anxiety yet, this could help them with their journey through overcoming their anxieties. If you are struggling with anxiety or stress and you would like to try this product, you can get your "Easy Calm" at the Taylor MD Formulation Website
