Introduction
You have searched the internet countless times, tried all the popular routines, but just aren't getting the results you want. You have became frustrated, and have given up on Google to spoon-feed you the routine of your dreams, so you decide to search "best work out routine". When you hit enter, your dream is both in sight and shattered at the same time. You see a link to "the best work out routine EVER"....but followed by millions of other links saying the exact same thing, so you crawl into your bed, throw the covers over your head, and sigh deeply in your lost moments of hope for getting jacked and tan.

Okay...maybe it didn't go down that way, but chances are if you are reading this, you once searched for "the best work out routine" in hopes of thinking there was some kind of secret to making faster progress. Maybe you thought it was a specific work out split, exercise, or work out equipment, but the false hope was there as you searched the web for the best routine ever created. The only question is, is there such a thing? And if so, what is it?! I am here to tell you there is one, but it is different for each and every individual. Here's why:

Recovery
Not everyone recovers at the same rate. Some people get sore from five sprints, while others run all day long, and do it again the next day. Just like running, there are those that get sore from only 5 sets of squats, while others perform an entire lower body work out (20-30 sets for legs). Recovery is individual, it is also based on your exercise history, diet, age, health conditions, and so much more.

Progression
Much like recovery, progression is individual. If you haven't touched a single weight in the gym before and have started a routine, I will promise you one thing if you are consistent: THE BEST GAINS OF YOUR LIFE the next couple of months. When you first start working out you will add weight to your lifts/exercises like it's nothing! If you search the web and find a routine that only has you adding weight to the bar every week, yet you could add weight to an exercise every two days...why would you set yourself up with slower progression? It's much easier to recover from a 75 pound squat than it is a 600 pound squat, so why wait the timeframe a 600 pound squatter would?

Volume/Intensity/Frequency
Volume, intensity, and frequency are all related and intertwined into this deep dark confusing abyss of a balancing act. When one goes up, the others must go down (even though we don't want to decrease any of it). Not everyone progresses off of the same volume, intensity, or frequency. Some people require to work out a specific muscle group more times a week, while others respond better to a higher amount sets (working the muscle less days a week).

Pharmaceuticals
Face it, pharmaceuticals is a big component to bodybuilding. It has been, is, and forever will be. When the competition deals with any sort of physical feature, the top competitors are all using. Why wouldn't they? The key in bodybuilding is to get as big and lean as possible (while having proportion of course). Why would you limit that progress, when you can buy a way to surpass your genetic limit? With that being said, many (and I mean MANY) published routines on the internet are catered towards pharmaceutical users. That IFBB pro bodybuilding routine you see in that magazine, amazing for someone on "the good stuff"....not so great for you. Also keep in mind, many of these routines said to be used by top level lifters are not even used by them. Many are not willing to describe their tools for success (drug use and their routine). Though they are not willing to disclose their routines and use, marketers are aware that if your idol (or someone with the physique you want) is claiming to use a specific routine or product you will too.

The Best Work Out Routine
The best work out routine will be the best work out routine FOR YOU! What does that mean? That means based on your ability to recover, work out experience, ability to progress, "supplement" use, and what you respond best to, will determine what's the best routine for you. The best routine for you is not the best routine for someone else (and vise versa). In order to find the best work out routine for you, you can either spend the years of trial and error or find yourself a coach. The choice is yours, but you will never find out through the internet. Google has a lot of answers, but the best work out routine is not one of them.
